BST|Daigo Umehara has had a long history with fighting games. Due to his success across a variety of different fighters, Daigo has become a household name.
In a recent video, one of Daigo’s viewers asked him to play Capcom vs. SNK 2, which immediately prompted an amusing response. “No way!” exclaimed Daigo after reading aloud the comment.
Shortly afterwards, Daigo was asked if K-Groove was more broken than the Rolling Cancel, a glitch in Capcom vs. SNK 2 that forever changed the meta.
“So C-Groove, A-Groove, and N-Groove have Rolling Cancel,” explained Daigo. “S-Groove has dodge. Then there’s P-Groove. And K-Groove has ‘just defend.’ So only three grooves can use Rolling Cancel.”
“C-Groove and N-Groove are weaker than K-Groove even with Rolling Cancel,” continued Daigo. “Unfortunately, if there’s no Rolling Cancel, K-Groove is way better than A-Groove. But because there’s Rolling Cancel, A is stronger than K.”
Following this, Daigo described K-Groove as being “Broken! Unbelievably broken!” Needless to say, this said a lot about how ridiculous A-Groove was in Capcom vs. SNK 2 as Daigo mentioned that it was even stronger than K-Groove.
Throughout the video, Daigo had a lot of interesting thoughts to share about some of the older fighting games, including how Street Fighter 2 is his favorite in the Street Fighter series thanks to all the memories he has of it.
