When we last took a look at Street Fighter 6 footage involving BST|Daigo Umehara, he was having a series of Ken mirror matches against Rohto|Tokido. Back then, we noted that Daigo had accrued enough Master Rate points to be ranked as the 40th best player according to the CFN leaderboard.
However, it turns out that Daigo has recently been on a grind in Street Fighter 6. There was a brief period of time in which Daigo was the number one ranked player in Street Fighter 6 in terms of Master Rate (MR).
The FGC Place recently uploaded a video highlighting Daigo climbing to the first position on the leaderboard. At the beginning of the video, Daigo was ranked at the third position, but climbed his way up even further.
Throughout the video, Daigo ended up playing against NLNL’s Luke and Bearer-Sato’s JP. As expected, Daigo has been using Ken to level up.
Of course, it should be noted that since this video was uploaded, Daigo has fallen back to third place on the MR leaderboard. At this moment, HibikiTheBeast and IBSG_Kakeru have 27 and 20 MR points above Daigo respectively.
