My Dear People of Ogoja,
I thank you all for voting the New Deal in the April 11th House of Assembly elections. You came out en-mass to cast your votes because of your believe and trust in me. And I promise not to let you down.
With full heart of gratitude, I want to thank the almighty God for his unending love inspite of the rigorous experiences that was occasioned by the elections and the court cases. I thank you my people for your constant love, support, patience, trust and believe in me.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Calabar recently dismissed the case filed against me by the Labour Party Candidate, Mr. Mark Atabi. And it can be recalled that the Tribunal sitting in Calabar dismissed the case filed by both the APC and Labour Candidates. I sincerely thank you all for your support and prayers.
By this victory at the court, we have reaffirmed our unity as a people. And reiterated our faith in democracy and underscored our determination to fully join the rest of the world where only the will of the people is the foundation of true governance. I promise not to let you down. I promise not to let Ogoja and Cross River State down.
My beloved brothers and sisters, we are all winners, this is victory for democracy, it is victory for the lowly heard, it is victory for all and sundry in Ogoja. It is a triumph for our common destiny as a people. I shall protect the interest and ideals of our constituents. That I shall do with all sincerity.
The Court cases are over, I call on everyone to come to the table with bold and big ideas on ways on how we can move Ogoja forward. We all have a task of contributing our own quarter towards the growth and development of Ogoja.
Let's join hands together as a people, with one strong voice and make Ogoja great again. We must move from partisan backgrounds and find a common course towards liberating Ogoja.
It is our responsibility to show unending patriotism, love, courage and total commitment for the growth of Ogoja Local Government Area. Let's join hands to build a prosperous Ogoja. This is a challenge of our generation to make Ogoja great again, to put Ogoja on the world map. This is an unfinished task. We must work as a team. We must stand together. On my part, I promise to carry everybody along.
