In an effort to complement Governor Ben Ayade’s desire to showcase Cross River State products through diverse medium, the State Commissioner for Commerce,Mrs RoseMary Archibong, has commended an intending team of Calabar based Online Marketers known as “Made in Canaan City” for creating a platform through which various products in the State can be marketed.
Mrs Archibong made the commendation in Calabar when the team paid her a courtesy visit in her office recently.
The Commissioner stated that the appointment of a Special Adviser on E-Commerce by Governor Ayade, was a clear indicator that the State is advancing towards digital marketing and hinted that most businesses and marketing transactions in the Western world, are carried out online.
Mrs Archibong enjoined the team to create a marketing platform with a wide reach so that products in the State especially Agro-based products will get into the global market.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the “Made in Canaan” Online Marketing platform, Mr. Emmanuel Ewa, congratulated Commissioner Achibong on her recent appointment as a Commissioner in one of the driving force Ministry of the State while commending Governor Ayade for his industrialisation ideas in Cross River State.
Speaking about the Online Marketing platform, Mr. Emmanuel Ewa said: “we are made in Canaan City, the first of its kind in the State and the first in Nigeria using app.to promote and market locally made goods and services,emphasizing that most online platforms market imported goods but our Company is different with a unique aim of discovering, promoting, marketing and creating inter-relationship between consumers and producers”, he said”.
