Press Release: Vox Populi Vox Dei
INEC's declaration of the just concluded CRS House Of Assembly elections has shown months of intense hardwork towards my relection has paid off.
My unequaled appreciation goes first of all to the Almighty God for victory as power comes from Him. I am also grateful to party members, stakeholders, family, friends, support groups and electorates who voted for and against me, you are indeed the unsung heroes of democracy.
Furthermore, on the unfortunate incident in Mbube West Ward 2, Odaijie precisely which claimed 2 lives, I condole whole heartedly with the families of the bereaved and the people of Mbube at large. Whilst this incident could have been avoided, it is hoped that there won't be such occurrences in future. I have and will always be an advocate of zero violence and appeal that we remain calm to allow security operatives handle the matter and apprehend the culprits.
Conclusively, I appreciate candidates from other political parties who ran for CRS House Of Assembly for their brotherly contest and ensuring the race was devoid of rancour and pettiness between candidates and their supporters respectively. I am open to your constructive inputs tailored towards moving the Ogoja people and Cross Riverians forward.
Thank you all.
Hon. Peter Odey
Member, CRS House Of Assembly, Ogoja State Constituency and Member-Elect.
