Street Fighter 6 fans are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the game’s first major balance patch and the start of Season 2. The next DLC character and final one for the game’s first season of content, Akuma, is getting fairly close to launch — based on everything we’ve seen so far — and it’s looking like the big balance update is coming soon too.
While a lot of us wait, we’re taking the time to create final tier lists for the current version of the game before things change heavily. Top player from the Dominican Republic Tigers|CrossoverRD has joined in on the fun and recently put together a final tier list for Season 1 of Street Fighter 6.
Crossover’s tier list is organized into five different letter grade categories. From the top to the bottom, we have S+, S, A+, A, and B ranks.
Right at the top of the heap, Crossover places frequent top tier flier Luke as the first character in S+ rank. With the current discourse, some pros and prominent people in the FGC have been putting Luke not only as the #1 character in the game, but also in a tier rank all his own.
Though Crossover’s tier list appears to follow suit, there’s also a second character in S+ tier. Crossover adds Cammy to the S+ tier as well, and while many feel she’s a top tier here in Street Fighter 6, this is one of the highest placements we’ve seen for here in recent times.
On the other end of the spectrum, Crossover’s B tier — which suggests that these characters aren’t necessarily bad, but happen to be the worst among the rest of the roster — only has two fighters. We see Zangief as the worst in the game, with E. Honda only slightly better.
E. Honda has definitely been seeing the “worst in the game” title over the last few months, while others have placed him among the bottom of the cast. On the most recent episode of EventHubs Talk and Block, Velociraptor and Catalyst also placed E. Honda very low on the tier list.
