Well, according to people’s view, Cross River state is indeed a blessed state and God has demonstrated His blessing on us especially in this new administration.
It may interest you all to know that by God’s grace, another of our son named Justice Walter Onnoghen from Biase LGA will soon be appointed to head the Nation’s Judiciary as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) barely 38 days to come.
This fact is deduced from the established rules and tradition of Nigeria Judiciary Council’s (NJC’s) rule that upon retirement of the current CJN, the most senior justice in rank is likely to step into the office which Walter is eminently qualified.
If you have read his judgements, you will appreciate him as a sound brain. You will also recall that our brother from Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State (CRS) is the Chief of Naval staff, our sister from CRS is the Head of Service of the Federation, our brother Ndoma Egba is the Boss of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), etc.
Having appraised all these, is anyone in doubt about taking CRS to the promised land? Will CRS still be seen as that small state that had nobody to cry on its behalf? Will our unemployed youths still groan for not having anybody on top to speak for them in securing a job? Will CRS have the presence of NDDC project in our community?
According to this Reporter, even though the enemies had taken away our oil; do we look forward to seeing more Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SANs) from CRS as other states? (We know the politics there). If the above mentioned leaders work in collaboration with the the state government, if only the “state”is ready to listen to them, then our dear state will be liberated. It is not only through oil wells that a state is said to be rich but human capacity is also a “treasure”, and we can use it wisely.
This is not the time to talk of party affiliations. For the purpose of moving CRS forward, we all belong to one party called “THINKCROSSRIVER PARTY”. This is our chance!
