As a three-term legislator in the Cross River State House of Assembly (1992–2011), where you served twice as Deputy Speaker, and as a delegate to the 2014 National Conference, you demonstrated rare legislative competence and patriotism. Your contributions as Special Adviser on Information and Culture and as Executive Chairman of the State Sports Commission (2015–2019) reinforced your place as a visionary leader.

Your current role as Cross River State’s representative on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration shows your capacity across multiple positions. As Chairman of the CRSTTA and Canaan Table Tennis Club, you continue to empower the youth and nurture sporting excellence across the state.
Beyond governance, you are a celebrated author and cultural custodian. With over a dozen published works, ranging from poetry to prose, theatre, and oral literature, you have immortalised the Calabar experience and preserved the heritage of the Efik people. Your memberships in literary and theatrical associations across Nigeria, the UK, and the US reflect global recognition of your literary acumen.
As Adaidaha ke Efik Eburutu, Adaidaha ke Ufok Duke, and Otuekong ke Atakpa Ikot Effiom, your chieftaincy titles affirm your standing as a respected community leader and adviser to the revered Obong of Calabar.
