The Cross River South Consultative Forum (CRSCF) has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Cross River South for their overwhelming support during the Grand Reception and Thank You Rally held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.
The historic event, organized to honour His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State, drew an unprecedented crowd of over 30,000 citizens from diverse backgrounds. The rally was marked by vibrant enthusiasm, unity, and a shared commitment to the People First Agenda.
In a press statement released on Thursday, July 3, 2025, CRSCF Chairman Hon. Eyo Nsa Ekpo, Esq., acknowledged the critical roles played by local government councillors, state and federal legislators, traditional rulers, political leaders, women and youth groups, market unions, faith-based organizations, and the media in making the event a resounding success.

Special appreciation was extended to key figures including, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Chief of Staff to the Governor, for his unwavering support; Prof. Ivara Ejemot Esu, immediate past Deputy Governor and Chairman of the Elders Advisory Council of CRSCF; His Eminence the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu IV, and other traditional rulers for their invaluable guidance.
“And most importantly, the general public — the resilient, peace-loving people of Cross River South— for standing together in unity, love, and progress with the People First Agenda.”
The forum emphasized that the rally was not only a gesture of gratitude but also a powerful statement of unity and a collective call for continued good governance and development in Cross River State.
