Belle’Sabel Grooming Agency (BGA), the management of the yearly Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG), a pageant pageant initiated by former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Isabella Ayuk has lifted suspension bands on two of its queens, Christy Anie and Favour Ezeh while indefinitely extending the suspension of its controversial queen, Victoria Ana.

This as contained in a statement issued by the pageantry management as signed by Mr. Obaji Akpet, who doubles as the publicist of Ayuk and the CRMBG pageant; and made available to the media.

It could be recalled that the BGA had in a wind of suspension suspended three of its queens due to conducts the management said it feared were unbecoming of the affected girls as title holders of the pageant.

A statement which announced the lift in suspension reads in part: “The Belle’Sabel Grooming Agency (BGA), organizers of the yearly prestigious Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG) pageant wish to officially notify the media and general public of the reinstatement of Miss Christy Anie, as Cross River Most Beautiful Girl – Tourism; and Miss Favour Ezeh, as Cross River Most Beautiful Girl – Culture and Heritage, with effect from September 29, 2016.”

Explaining the reason for the elongation of Ana’s suspension, the BGA said “Following these letters of suspensions, the pageant deemed it fit to allow the affected queens the opportunity to be heard as to why the suspension should be lifted. But while Anie and Ezeh maintained characters worthy of true ambassadors of the pageant all through the period allegations of their abuse of office were being probed, the organization of CRMBG had it in good authority that Ana took copious steps to deliberately ridicule the image of organization, she is supposed to protect as lead ambassador, an approach which impinges negatively on good leadership quality expected of a queen in piloting the affairs of such apex office as Cross River Most Beautiful Girl.”
“Consequent upon responses from the queens the management of CRMBG got and considerations made, hence the lifting of these suspensions on Anie and Ezeh, who are now fully cleared, has become imminent, while that of Ana is still being upheld until further notice.”

Ana has since, by the indefinite suspension notice issued her, been directed to handover remaining property of the BGA in her possession to the organization secretariat to enable the organization keep working until the lift of ban of her suspension is considered.

Exploiting a clause in its policy framework, the Management of CRMBG had earlier on named Precious Omini its acting queen, but on Anie’s return, being the first runner up, she is to resume office as acting CRMBG queen in Ana’s stead pending when issues with the step aside queen are being resolved with her management.

The organization of CRMBG said the disciplinary outing it carried out was for the best interest of the beauty queens, the BGA organization and the pageantry industry at large.

The organisation of CRMBG reiterated its commitment to remain lead state pageant in Africa as it looked forward to continuing to be that platform on which goals and objectives of giving back to society are realized by beautiful and well nurtured Nigerians.
