The efforts of the state governor, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade to ensure security of lives and property in the state has received a major boost with the drafting of additional one thousand soldiers to the state to assist with internal security.
Following this development, the state is grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Defence Minister, the Chief of Army Staff, LT General Tukur Buratai, Chief of Defence Staff, the General Officer Commanding, 82 Div, Enugu and Brigade Commander, 13 Amphibious Battalion, Calabar.
