Cross River Forestry Commission Congratulates Governor Otu, Deputy Odey on Second Anniversary

The Cross River State Forestry Commission has congratulated the Executive Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, as they mark two years in office.

In a goodwill message issued by the Commission and signed by its Executive Chairman, Rt. Hon. George Oben-Etchi, Ph.D, FCIA, the agency lauded the administration’s notable progress and transformational leadership since assuming office.

The message described the two-year milestone as a moment of reflection and commendation for the state’s leadership, citing “renewed hope, positive and glaring results, and purposeful giant strides” across key sectors such as Education, Health, Infrastructure, Economic Rejuvenation, Human Capacity Building, Urban and Rural Development, and Civil Service reform.

“The people of our dear state are experiencing a new era of hope and visionary leadership under your watch,” the statement read. “Your administration continues to deliver on its promises and inspire confidence in a better Cross River State.”

The Forestry Commission also used the occasion to offer prayers for God’s continued guidance and protection over the Governor, his Deputy, and their families, while wishing them strength, good health, and greater success in the years ahead.

Rt. Hon. Oben-Etchi reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to aligning with the Governor’s development agenda, particularly in driving sustainable forest management and enhancing the state’s environmental outlook.
