Those of us who started with Street Fighter 5 as their first major fighting game might only know Smug as being a player who punishes fools for thinking that they won’t get command grabbed. However, Smug actually made a name for himself during the days of Street Fighter 4 by playing the classiest Dudley in the world.
It seems that Smug recently decided to return to Ultra Street Fighter 4 to practice his Dudley gameplay in a lobby. During this session, Smug found himself going up against a Hakan with over 25,000 BP, putting him well in the A+ range for that character.
Needless to say, this Hakan user was no joke. Smug was quite surprised to find that he “didn’t get to play” in situations where the Hakan player was really able to go ham.
Unfortunately for Smug, Hakan was able to achieve a double perfect over him. Simply put, Smug was just not prepared for what Hakan could do in Ultra Street Fighter 4 since the character was so rarely used.

Following this, Smug seemingly got the download and began to approach the match up with a more methodical play style. Smug focused more on the neutral and made sure to starve Hakan of opportunities to oil up.
Was Smug able to get his revenge? Find out by checking out the video below:
