ASP Irene Ugbo, PPRO Cross River State Command |
In a bit to defend the police command in what has been a huddle for Cross River State ever since her creation, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Irene Ugbo told Hit FM Calabar that the Police is working on the current situations the state is facing now.
The PPRO who was on phone this morning said; “actually, there are processes on ground for the combat of the current situation in Cross River State.
In her speech,” I assure all Cross Riverians to be rest assured that the Police is working on the current situations on ground. They’re policemen on ground to tackle the problem the state is facing right now, for we’re all going to fight!”
Still expatiating on the matter, the PPRO said the Commissioner of Police (CP) and the State Securities are on ground and they’re heading to Akpabuyo and Bakassi.
Ugbo also beg Cross Riverians to sometimes speed up about information so that the police will arrive crime scenes on time. She said, it is very nice, for the problem of the police is not getting information on time to be able to deploy their men to the areas of crime. So, Cross Riverians should be rest assured that we (Police) ate on ground working towards the crisis right now.
The PPRO also debunked rumours of policemen leaving their check points before time or shift. Irene Ugbo said there’s no shift right now, for there’s a 24 hours security patrol due to the current crisis.
She added; it’s a lie for people to say the Police leave check points before their shift. And right now the CP is so aggressive about the patrol media, for they’re all on ground right now. That’s what we have on ground now, she added.
Ugbo further express that the CP is aware of the situations in Bakassi and Akpabuyo, so policemen have been deployed to the areas since on Thursday last week. So, the police is on ground to make sure that the crisis there is well taken care of.
