Covington County residents named suspects in Troy shooting incident

Two suspects from Covington County were arrested and are facing charges related to a shooting incident in Troy.
Erik Dame’Ir McClain, 20, of Andalusia, and Karee Mykell Dorsey, 23, of Opp, are each facing charges of shooting into an occupied/unoccupied dwelling or vehicle, with bond set at $150,000.
The incident occurred during the morning hours of Sept. 22 when Troy police were called to the 1000 block of Park Street to disperse a large crowd. While officers were working the scene, several shots were fired, causing damage to a vehicle and a residence. No injuries were reported.
McClain was taken into custody on Nov. 12.
Dorsey is currently being held at the Covington County Jail on an unrelated charge and will be extradited to Troy when he is released.
