As part of personal effort to supports CRSG #StayAtHome order, the Special Assistant to the Cross River State Governor on Community Matters (Calabar South) Mr Ekeng Edet took the lead in Calabar South LGA through sensitization and sharing of food items.
In a gesture he described as being necessitated by the need to cushion the effect of hunger and restlessness amongst young people and children as a result of the stay at home order by the C’river State to protect it’s citizens against the deadly Corona virus.
He said “while the Government perfects logistics to cater and protect every one in the state during the lock down, it is our responsibility to look out for the very poor and vulnerable who do not have what it takes to keep body and soul together through this period”.
While sensitizing communities on the measures to prevent and stay safe from COVID – 19, Edet assured them that government will be there for them the entire time.
He also advised them to adhere instructions from Government as lead by His Excellency Senator Prof, Ben Ayade which is poised to protect and serve their welfare optimally and be law abiding citizens.
“With these, we as a state will continue to stay free of the pandemic”, Edet assured.
