By: Achiane Adams, CRS-MOI Officer reporting from Calabar

The Cross River State COVID-19 prevention  Enforcement team mounted at the Itu head bridge, have refused to back down as over a hundred people have attempted gaining entry into the State by taking advantage of the nightfall.

The team leader, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Honorable Eric Anderson, said the people had waited until it was dark to attempt crossing over but were shocked to see that the Enforcement team were still on duty.

It would be recalled that a few days ago, His Excellency, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, kept vigil at the bridge to ensure that human and vehicular activities stop as governments all over the world follow health measures in the bid to battle the dreaded Corona Virus Disease.

Other members of the unit include the Senior Special Assistant, Carnival, Mr Effiong Ekpenyong and  Senior Special Assistant, Performance Monitoring, Mr. Portrait Peterson. #
