PARADISE — At least one new person will sit on the Paradise Town Council after the November election as only two of three incumbents are seeking to return.
Greg Bolin and Steve “Woody” Culleton filed their paperwork by Friday’s deadline for candidates. However, Rose Tryon did not, extending the deadline five days to Wednesday.
Colleen Corners, Heidi Lange and David Porter also filed to run. As of Tuesday morning, the town clerk’s office had certified the forms of all the candidates except Porter.
In the Paradise Unified School District, four candidates filed for three seats on the board.
Incumbents Melissa Crick, Susan Davis and Emily Vail all seek reelection. Zack Connell is the other contender.
The council and school board both have five members apiece, elected to four-year terms on an at-large basis as opposed to by district or trustee area.
