Although there’s not a brand new game in the franchise (yet), Capcom vs. SNK is officially back for the first time in almost 25 years.
For the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection 2, Capcom recently revealed some brand new artwork for the compilation with some focus on the CvS side of things.
The new art features Capcom and SNK characters gathered around a bench for what appears to be some fun and quality time together.
Fatal Fury’s Mai Shiranui and Terry Bogard are on full display as well as Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami from The King of Fighters sitting on the bench next to each other.
They’re basically surrounded by a bunch of Capcom characters though a bunch of them haven’t actually appeared on a CvS roster before.
There are some Street Fighter staples like Sakura, Vega, Yun, Yang, Cody and Guy, but Project Justice, Power Stone, Plasma Sword and even Ingrid from Capcom Fighting Evolution are getting shown some love too.
Capcom artist Chisato Mita was behind the new work, and this is what she had to say on BlueSky about it:
“I was nervous about the rare opportunity to draw SNK’s Kyo and Iori for work. I placed a bench in the middle as a sign of hospitality, so I had them sit on it and let the flowers fall.”

This isn’t the first new piece of CvS art we’ve seen come out of this project thus far with the Capcom Fighting Collection dual pack featuring a special cover too.
Fans can get their hands on even more too technically with a Capcom vs. SNK mini comic being included as a pre-order bonus for those picking up the physical edition of the upcoming collection.
Hopefully, these new works are a sign that even more new art will be included in the gallery of the compilation too.
The Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is set to include eight games in total between Capcom vs. SNK, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Project Justice and Plasma Sword.
This new compilation is set to hit the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC on May 16, 2025.
