Controversies loom, as suspended beauty queen writes ex-MBGN queen open letter
Victoria Ana, suspended Cross River State Most Beautiful Girl Queen

By OBAJI AKPET, Calabar

Few days after she was suspended as Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG) and asked to respond to allegations trailing her and two other queens, Victoria Ana took to open media space to respond to her query in a manner and tone that directly attacks the person of Isabella Agbor Ayuk, ex-Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) queen, who through her Belle’Sabel Grooming Agency (BGA) organizes the yearly pageant.

It was gathered that before the letter reached the BGA, Ana had first of all posted her response on her Facebook page and later the response started making a round on popular blogs including Nigeria’s foremost LindaIkejisblog.com cracking spate of controversies.

After the response hit the open media space, there was visibly a huge divide among critics who either rebuked Ana for being derogatory and describing her as taking a step unbecoming of a beauty queen that is supposedly a role model for young ones to look up to; while some others fanned Ana for actions of openly replying an organization letter.

Besides, the letter was personalized to ex-MBGN queen making it appear as if she has personal axe to grind with her as opposed to only directing the response to BGA.

Other issues Ana may also be seen to falter on include appearing rude in her tone as the letter read in part “I received with shock and surprise your letter dated 12th September 2016.”

“I hereby wish to state that the issues presented in your letter do not convey the true state of affairs,”

“You accused me of keeping late nights – not only is this claim unsubstantiated with facts,” the tone of the letter reads further.

“In relation to your accusation of not attending public functions – this is not true.”

“In view of the foregoing, I have done nothing to warrant this suspension. Rather I have done everything in my power to elevate the image of Cross River’s Most Beautiful Girl, not just for me, but for every other girl who will be privilege to wear the crown after me,” Ana boasted.

It could be recalled that Victoria Ana, Christy Anie and Favour Ezeh were on Thursday written letters of suspensions as CRMBG queen, CRMBG Tourism, CRMBG Culture and Heritage respectively for various offences and asked to respond with reasons disciplinary actions should not be taken against them.

Consequent upon her suspension, BGA on Saturday announced Precious Brendan Omini her new acting queen pending when investigations into allegations leveled against the step aside queens would be concluded.
