CONTROVERSIAL: C' River Social Commentator Thumbs up Buhari for calling Nigerians Criminals

If we recall, in one if his more recent foreign trips for bilateral talks, President Muhammadu Buhari labelled Nigerians, citizens of the country he superintends over as 'criminals'. Besides, much earlier, Mr. President was heard to be referring to his country as being financially broke amongst others thereby scaring away investors in the thinking of some.

This has not gone down well with some and has incited reactions back home here in Nigeria. While some sympathisers support His Excellency, others berate him.

One of such sympathetic citizens, Peter Offem Ubi, a Cross Riverian took to his social media time line to eulogise and rationalise Mr. President's executive loquaciousness or candidness, if you like. Read from which perspective he does that:

*'Change must come even from the way our leaders speak in public…

PMB speaks from the heart in a bold and blunt manner. If you don't like it that he called Nigerians criminals, your are entitled to your opinion.

How are many Nigerians treated within and outside their country? In many foreign countries, in work places, universities, etc, once you are recognized as a Nigeria, eyes start to follow you, and for the most part not in the positive but in the negative.

Within Us the truth is known, the sooner we stop the pretense and do what is right for Nigeria, the quickest we will get out of the criminal mindset that led us to corruption'.

Do you agree with Mr. Peter Offem Ubi? Let me know what you think.
