Comrade Okang who gave the commendation in
his Office during an official visit of the Executive Members of the

According to Comrade Okang, with an increase
in the scourge of cultism and unending land disputes among communities that
breed communal clashes, a greater demand is placed on the sensitization of
youths on the need to embrace peace, stating that youths must be dissuaded from
taking up arms for whatever reason and sustaining the power of peace.

While frowning at acts of man inhumanity to
man, Comrade Okang called on the Society for Peace Studies and Practice to
extend their scope to discourage and condemn in great terms maltreatment of the
less privileged whose dues are wrongfully denied them, pointing out that these
actions are capable of causing reprisals from disgruntled individuals that
would result in unrest.
