Jay Leno appeared in high spirits Friday night at amfAR’s inaugural Las Vegas benefit, looking significantly better after a recent fall left his face badly bruised.
The comedian and former talk show host had worried fans earlier this week when he revealed he fell 60 feet down a hill in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The tumble left most of his face bruised, and he was seen sporting an eyepatch.
However, at the amfAR event, Leno walked the red carpet in a sharp navy blue suit, without the eyepatch, and with his face showing a much healthier appearance. While some makeup might have been used to mask the remaining bruises, it was clear the TV legend was on the mend.
Speaking to TMZ earlier, Leno explained how the fall happened. He was staying at a hotel perched on a hill and decided to take a shortcut down the slope instead of following the winding path to a restaurant. The risky move resulted in his dramatic tumble.
Despite the scare, Leno showed resilience, attending the star-studded benefit and maintaining his trademark humor.
