College Republicans of America has invited Barron Trump to join it chapter at New York University, at which the first son is a freshman, following the unflattering remarks that led to the chapter president’s resignation Monday.

“Barron Trump represents the future of the conservative movement, and we would be honored to have him join College Republicans of America,” nation chapter President Will Donahue said.

“Strong leadership is built on resilience, courage, and the humility to rise above petty hostility – qualities that Barron had already demonstrated. We invite Barron to join us in shaping the future of our party.”

NYU chapter President Kaya Walker resigned following the publication Wednesday of a “Vanity Fair” magazine story about Barron Trump at NYU that included comments from her and other students.

She told the outlet that she sees Trump as “sort of like an oddity on campus. He goes to class, he goes home.”

Trump’s security detail has reportedly made interacting with fellow NYU students challenging.  He has attempted to connect with classmates by inviting them to play video games with him, according to multiple reports.

Still, the 18-year-old was influential in helping his father, President Donald Trump, win 2024 reelection by providing him with insight into who within conservative wing of the GOP was influential among young, especially male, voters, which helped Trump win over that bloc of voters.

Walker has also resigned from CRA’s national leadership national leadership team.

CRA called her comments “inappropriate” and out of line with its values, while also acknowledging that the article unfairly framed Walker’s words.

The statement from CRA also reaffirmed the organization’s support for President Trump, Barron’s father, and stated that the it will be working closely with the NYU chapter to ensure a smooth transition following Walker’s resignation.

It is unclear who will replace Walker as the chapter president.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
