While Street Fighter and Final Fight exist in the exact same world, we didn’t get to hear a lot about what people like Cody, Guy and the rest of the bunch from the beat ’em up franchise were doing in Street Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6’s director, Takayuki Nakayama, provided a bunch of updates about these residents of Metro City, you can check out his responses below.

First up, Nakayama was asked what Cody and Guy are up to now.

“Cody is traveling overseas on business (with Guy) while continuing to be the mayor of Metro City,” Nakayama wrote on X. As a follow up, a user wondered if Guy is still cool looking. “He’s still [as] cool looking as ever,” Nakayama said.

Next, someone asked if Guy is still the leader of the Bushinryu clan now that Zeku went off to make the Striders.

“Yes, it is. At least for now (Street Fighter 6’s timeline) Guy is the leader, and he is succeeded by an apprentice named Gou (號), who in turn is succeeded by his son Shou (Ginzu the Ninja),” stated Nakayama.

He was then asked about Maki Genryusai, who made her debut in the 1993 release Final Fight 2, and would later appear in other Capcom fighting games as well.

“She is doing well. She goes back and forth between Japan and Metro City. It seems she has an apprentice she is taking care of.”

Lastly, Nakayama responded about how Lucia’s doing now, which is something we covered previously when we gave a rundown of how a bunch of female cast members are doing in Street Fighter 6’s timeline.

“[Lucia] is, of course, in Metro City. She’s probably eating Instant Noodles again today,” wrote Nakayama.
