It’s been reported by the official Tekken account on Twitter that the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test codes have been sent out. Those that signed up for this event should check their emails for an invitation. Bandai Namco has noted that these invitations could potentially end up in the spam folder, so fans will want to make sure to check there.

The Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test will be starting on Friday, October 20 at 1:00 a.m. PDT / 4:00 a.m. EDT. This event will last up until Monday, October 23 at 12:00 a.m. PDT / 3 a.m. EDT.

With the upcoming Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test, many players will get their first opportunities to play as Azucena, Raven, and Feng in Tekken 8. Notably, these fighters were not available during the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test.

Additionally, Jin, Kazuya, Paul, Law, King, Lars, Nina, Xiaoyu, Jack-8, Asuka, Leroy, Lili, Hwoarang, Bryan, and Claudio will also be returning from the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test. In other words, the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test will give players access to 19 characters, each with three different costumes to choose from.

During the upcoming event, there will be six stages that players can fight on — Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum, Arena, and Ortiz Farm. It’s said that Ortiz Farm is the home stage of Azucena, Tekken 8’s only newcomer thus far.

Ranked Match will support cross-platform matchmaking between the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbos Series S, and Steam versions of the beta. There will also be a Tekken Fight Lounge that allows for player customization, avatar customization, text chat, Ghost Match, and arcade cabinets that can be accessed with the avatar system. Quick Match and Battle Tutorial modes will also be included for those that don’t wish to participate in ranked matchmaking.

It’s also been noted that the Tekken 8 Closed Beta Test can now be pre-downloaded ahead of the scheduled date.

Tekken 8 will be released January 26, 2024 for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles.
