It’s no secret that Rashid is one of the most dominant characters in Street Fighter 6. With his relentless pressure, mobility, and ridiculous, screen-spanning Super 2, he often feels unstoppable in the right hands. Conversely, Terry, while beloved, isn’t exactly a top-tier contender in the eyes of most players.
This makes the following sequence all the more extraordinary, as a Terry player scores an incredibly unlikely victory in the face of near defeat. Continue on to watch the cathartic clip and inspire some hope in yourself that you too, one day, may survive one of Rashid’s Ysaars.
We join our online warriors in a familiar situation: Terry has next to no health, is cornered, and Rashid whips up a trusty Ysaar to close out the round. Rashid is, however, burned out while Terry has about a half of one bar of Drive Gauge.
The Terry player is all but destined to lose, but then, in a few rare moments of pure skill and precision, the tide shifts in dramatic fashion. Rashid goes for the inevitable Eagle Spike we all know is en route, and Terry thwarts it with a Perfect Parry.
That’s all well and good, but with Ysaar still on the screen, there’s not a lot the defender can do. This player, who goes by LinkNova, was apparently ready, however, and cancels out of the Perfect Parry with a Drive Rush (real heroes run toward the Ysaar).
Seizing the moment, LinkNova launches into a level 3 Super, which Rashid has plenty of time to block. Though Rashid is still technically safe here, the fact that he’s burned out means he takes chip damage, and the fact that he’s got 8% health means Terry’s level 3 is enough to chip Rashid out just before the still-lingering tornado could end the round.

Perfect Parries are notoriously difficult to pull off, requiring razor-sharp timing and nerves of steel, but when they land, the payoff can be monumental. The sequence was a masterclass in clutch play, showing how even mid-tier characters can shine in the hands of a skilled player.
This clip also highlights how the Drive System can reward both defensive and offensive creativity. Terry’s Perfect Parry followed by a Drive Rush into a game-winning Super is a perfect example of how the system allows for exhilarating turnarounds, even against seemingly insurmountable odds.
