Hey, remember Dragon Ball FighterZ? No, not Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, but the other DB-based fighting game from Bandai Namco that, once upon a time, was among the hottest titles amid the FGC.
FighterZ actually got a fairly massive update back at the beginning of September, and thus those who aren’t getting their Dragon Ball fill via Sparking Zero, such as competitor Cloud805, are due for new tier lists.
Those who have been paying close attention might point out that Cloud posted a “final” FighterZ tier list back in February of this year. As we compare his opinions from February with those he holds now, however, it’s clear that Bandai Namco’s alterations were significant.
For instance, only a single character is common to the top five on both lists, and some of roster members that were previously amid the center of the pack have shot out to the top and bottom extremes.
Cloud divides his list across seven categories including top 2 (2 characters), S-tier (12 characters), A-tier (21 characters), B-tier (3 characters), C-tier (2 characters), D-tier (3 characters), and a final lowest tier reserved for just Base Goku (who was eighth from the bottom previously).
Cloud does have a definitive best character in the game, no questions asked, and that’s Vegito Blue. He remarks that he could make an entire video detailing why this super powered fusion of Goku and Vegeta is easily better than everyone else.
The player and content creator does admit that he can see arguments for one other character being the best, but he does not believe them and thus places said character at second overall. You can view the final tier list quickly by clicking the thumbnail to expand it, but you’ll get all of Cloud’s reasonings (along with convenient timestamps) in his full video below.
