It’s finally time for one of the biggest weeks in gaming to begin with the Tokyo Game Show 2024 opening its doors for developers to show off what they’ve been working on to the public.
SNK will be among them holding a special broadcast here at the start of TGS 2024 where it seems they plan to share new updates on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, The King of Fighters 15’s upcoming DLC characters and more.
The program will be going down very early for those of us in North America with the stream scheduled to begin Thursday morning, September 26, at 4 a.m. PT, 20:00 JST in Japan and 12 p.m. BST for those around Europe.
It’s slated to last for around 50 minutes in total, and their is an English version of the broadcast we’ve included in this story.
The official description of the event covers some of the content fans can expect out of the program as well.
“During the ‘SNK Special Program,’ we will be sharing updates about our new fighting game scheduled for release on April 24th, 2025, ‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves,’ as well as more details on the KOF15 DLC characters, scheduled for release on December 2025, and other SNK title related news. Don’t miss it!”
This likely means SNK will have at least one new character to announce for the Garou sequel after Mai was unveiled last month for the game sporting a new design.
She’ll also be playable in the new demo available at the event for attendees, so we should be seeing more of the kunoichi in action too.
Perhaps they’ll actually explain what soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is going to be doing with Fatal Fury too at the event after the unexpected teaser he recently posted online.
Moreover, the developers will likely show off what Vice and Mature look like in KOF15 as the game’s presumably final DLC characters since they’ve only been seen in art form so far.
So they could drop a teaser or gameplay trailer for the duo as well as perhaps a release date for them.
Besides this stream, SNK is also hosting a special match event for Fatal Fury at 10 p.m. PT tonight though we’re not sure if that’s going to broadcasted or not — but maybe that’s where Ronaldo will show up.
Special TGS tournaments for KOF15 and Samurai Shodown are also slated to be held on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
We’ll have to see what else they have planned to bring to the stage too.
