CITRIX Design

In close collaboration with Solutions Owners and Architecture Teams, set up standards for Citrix infra, recommend good practices for use by development teams.
Make the choices for the implementation of Citrix VDA, Cloud Connector, Store Front, NetScaler in compliance with the specifications and in collaboration with the various project stakeholders (project manager, architects, integrators, ERP consultants, business intelligence experts, etc.).
Optimally define setup, deployment, and management parameters.
Define data security rules (physical and logical) as well as standards for the use of resources.
Model the base and design for Citrix infra.
Consider the specificities of the internal or external customer in collaboration with the infrastructure architect, particularly regarding the size and no of VDA (capacity planning).

CITRIX administration and maintenance

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop and related technologies.
Ensure capacity planning for IT Infrastructure.
Manage IT Hardware resources (see inventory and capacity planning in deliverables here after)
Guarantee the availability and quality of data by maintaining and improving performance ("tuning") and functionalities (by improving their automation, optimizing processing and queries, settings, etc.).
Track the statistics of the performance of access to the objects of the database to ensure tuning.
Management of scalabilities (volume monitoring, etc.) on the data access aspect.
Administer user access permissions and data security issues with the security engineer.
Manage version migrations.
Update programs and correct any bugs (patches) and give approval before going into production.
Recommend backup systems to be carried out by the operating departments to ensure the integrity of all the data in the database, in particular, the archiving and purging of data.
Define quality standards and develop dashboards and monitor them.
Follow up on monitoring tools and study all incidents that have occurred to understand their severity and origins.
Develop and execute test procedures and programs, during migrations or following an incident.
Ensure that backups are carried out properly (by going to a back-up center to do tests) and control the movements of the data.
Ensure the recovery of data (disaster recovery) following a serious incident.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior members of the team.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Citrix and virtualization

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Master’s degree in information technology or computer science
Management of operations on virtualized and distributed infrastructures,
Management of operations on environment with clustering, replication, load balancer
ITIL Practitioner (V3) / ITIL Specialist (V4)
Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V, CCE-V) – Requirement
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory environment is an added advantage.
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
Windows Server: Advantage
ISO 27000, other IT security Training
Prince2, PMP or equivalence – Advantage
5 years relevant experience in Citrix Engineering and Administration
Minimum 8 years’ experience in supporting and maintaining Microsoft Systems
