Christie Murphy and Jamie Martin have some exciting news. They’re welcoming two cute new additions to their family.
The Big Brother alum and her wife are now officially parents. This comes after Christie gave birth to their twin daughters, Sage Martin Murphy and Sela James Murphy, on January 29th. This exclusive scoop is courtesy of E! News.
Christie, a former participant on season 21 of the CBS competition show, has shared some updates. “The twins are doing great!” she tells E!. She adds, “They’re happy, healthy, and thriving!”
She also shares her feelings about this new chapter in her life. “Honestly, I’ve never felt anything like it in my life,” she admits. She also confesses, “I never knew a feeling like this even existed!”
Christie’s experience with labor has left her feeling empowered. “I literally pushed out two humans and that’s just mind-blowing to me in itself!” she exclaims. But she’s not sugarcoating the experience, adding, “Don’t get me wrong, I’m tired. Very, very tired…but it’s worth every single second of it.”
And what about the twins’ names? Christie has a story for that too. “Since my wife, Jamie and the girls took my last name, we wanted to honor Jamie’s full birth name in both of their names,” she explains. She adds, “‘James’ after Jamie and ‘Martin’ after her maiden name. It feels special and right!”
