Christian McCaffrey’s got himself in a bit of a pickle. He’s caught in the middle of a pass interference, of sorts.
The San Francisco 49ers running back found himself in a tight spot. His fiancée, Olivia Culpo, had a generous offer on the table. She wanted to buy a private suite for his mom, Lisa McCaffrey, for the 2024 Super Bowl.
But here’s the thing. Lisa had already stated that their family couldn’t afford such a luxury. Watching her son play from a high-priced suite? Not in their budget.
Olivia tried to make it happen, McCaffrey revealed to ExtraTV. It happened during a press conference on Feb. 6. But McCaffrey wasn’t having it. “I will not let anybody pay to watch me play,” he stated.
He put his foot down. “I had to nix that,” he added.
The whole Super Bowl suite saga started with Lisa. She confessed that watching her son’s team, the San Francisco 49ers, face off against the Kansas City Chiefs was too pricey. And she didn’t want to do it from a suite.
We’ve seen this before, right? Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, has been spotted in a suite a dozen times this NFL season. But for the McCaffreys, it’s a different story.
