Chris Eubank Sr left a TV studio full of Americans absolutely baffled when he spent a full minute reciting a quotation about ‘the dandy’.
Back in 2019, when his son Chris Eubank Jr signed with Al Haymon’s PBC and was preparing to make his US boxing debut, Eubank Sr travelled over to the States with him for a preview show.

The pair appeared on Inside PBC on FOX and gave a joint interview.
To conclude this, Eubank Sr – known for his eccentric dress sense – gave his thoughts on the fashion styles of several boxing figures.
The last image shown for him to judge was that of Eubank Jr.
Assessing his own son’s dress sense, Eubank Sr said: “I would hope that it would roll off onto him – the idea of being sartorially elegant.
“There is a quotation that goes as follows, it’s about the dandy.”
Eubank Sr then recited in full: “A dandy is a clothes-wearing man.

“A man whose office, trade and existence exists in the wearing of clothes.
“Every faculty of his soul, spirit, purse and person is heroically consecrated in this one object – the wearing of clothes, wisely and well.
“So as others may dress to live, the dandy actually lives to dress.”
The panel of British presenter Kate Abdo, American boxer Shawn Porter and Mexican-American boxer Abner Mares were completely dumbstruck and did not know quite how to react.
In the end, Porter turned to Eubank Jr and said: “So that’s what you grew up with, huh?”
Eubank Jr replied: “I grew up with that and a whole lot more.”
