Over recent weeks speculation has been growing around Jadon Sancho and his impending move to Chelsea following his season-long loan.
Whilst the winger has reportedly been loving life since moving away from Old Trafford, having made 28 appearances for Enzo Maresca’s side, with only two goals and six assists to his name.
Back in January, Maresca praised the 24-year-old, commenting: “For me he’s doing very well.”
He continued: “I am quite surprised with Jadon, because I knew Jadon already (from seeing him at his previous clubs) and I know what I expected from him, but in terms of being consistent, he’s doing very well.”
The London-based side had previously agreed a £25 million buy fee with Manchester United when signing the loan deal for Sancho last summer.
However recent reports have suggested that Chelsea are looking at pulling out of the deal despite having to face a penalty fee for doing so.

Details on Jadon Sancho penalty fee are revealed
It was recently reported that Chelsea will have to pay anywhere between £6 million and £10 million for going back on the obligatory buy deal.
However, now, The Athletic has revealed that the penalty fee that Chelsea would incur actually stands at only £5 million.
This penalty fee was agreed at the point of sealing the loan deal, with the obligatory buy clause triggering if Chelsea finished above 14th place.
With The Blues currently sat in fourth overall, the clause will be triggered at the end of the season unless Chelsea decide to abandon the deal.
It’s believed that a key factor in Chelsea’s decision on buying Sancho or withdrawing from the deal, and looking at other potential wingers stems from the uncertainty around Mykhailo Mudryk’s suspension.
However, with only nine games left of the Premier League season, Chelsea will have to decide soon on Sancho’s fate.
