Manchester United’s transfer plans could face fresh Premier League competition.

Chelsea and Liverpool are now believed to be in the race with Red Devils for one of their reported targets.

The player in question is Juventus teenager Kenan Yildiz, who has been attracting significant attention following his breakout campaign.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via The Metro, the 19-year-old has caught the eye of Premier League heavyweights.

The hierarchy at Chelsea are believed to be interested.

As are Liverpool, who are looking to rebuild under Arne Slot.

United’s initial interest in the attacker was reported back in December.

He has made 22 starts in Serie A and eight in the Champions League this season.

Juventus, currently sitting fifth in the Italian top flight and recently knocked out of Europe by PSV, are not having their best campaign.

However, Kenan Yildiz has been a standout performer.

His development has not gone unnoticed.

His agent Jorge Mendes has been keeping Juventus informed in regards to interest from England.

While Juventus do not want to part ways with one of their brightest young stars, financial concerns could force a sale.

Sacking manager Thiago Motta came at a cost, and reports suggest the club may need to generate funds by offloading a key player.

Yildiz is one of the most valuable assets at the club.

Juventus have reportedly set an €80m (£67m) asking price for any potential suitors.

Thiago Motta outlined area of improvement for Kenan Yildiz

Before his departure, Motta spoke about Yildiz’s immense potential.

The former manager highlighted his physicality, technique, and work rate but admitting there is still room for improvement.

“He certainly needs to improve his finishing as we saw again this evening,” Motta said after a 1-0 win over Cagliari last month.

“He gets into the box with strong physicality and is sharp, so I like to see him get into the box.

“That is how you score goals.”

Motta added that he and Yildiz regularly discussed his need to attack space more.

As well as his ability to hit powerful shots that trouble goalkeepers.

With Juventus open to offers and three Premier League giants circling, a battle for Yildiz’s signature could be on the cards in the summer window.
