Manchester United have seen their fair share of transfer flops over the past decade.
Big-money signings like Angel Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, and Harry Maguire all failed to deliver.
Under Erik ten Hag, the club spent over £600m before his eventual sacking last year.
The spending spree included Antony, who cost £85 million but never lived up to his price tag.
United’s history of expensive missteps has left fans questioning the club’s recruitment policy.
One player whose career took an unexpected turn after flopping at Old Trafford is Wilfried Zaha.

Zaha joined United in 2013 under Sir Alex Ferguson but struggled to make an impact.
He returned to Crystal Palace and rebuilt his reputation as one of the Premier League’s finest.
Now, the Ivory Coast international has completed a loan move to MLS side Charlotte FC, as confirmed on club website.
Zaha joins from Galatasaray, where he scored 10 goals and won the Turkish Super Lig last season.

The 32-year-old had been linked with a return to Crystal Palace last summer.
However, tax complications prevented a deal from being completed with the Eagles.
Instead, Zaha moved to France on loan with Lyon but played only 112 minutes of action.
Charlotte FC provides a fresh start for the winger, who has already begun training in the U.S.
He will occupy a Designated Player spot and could stay until June 2026 if the club extends his loan.
Charlotte General Manager Zoran Krneta expressed excitement about Zaha’s arrival.
“Wilfried is a world-class talent who has proven himself at the highest level of the sport,” he said.

“His performances in the Premier League and on the international level speak for themselves.”
Krenta highlighted Zaha’s versatility and ability to create magic in the attacking third.
“We are delighted to add a player of Wilfried’s pedigree and experience to our squad,” he added.
Zaha will play under former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith in North Carolina this season.
He joins a squad featuring players like Ashley Westwood, Liel Abada, and Tim Ream.
Charlotte finished 5th in the Eastern Conference but exited the play-offs in November.
The winger brings experience and flair, with Charlotte hoping he can deliver in the MLS.
Despite his journey, Zaha’s story remains tied to United’s transfer struggles.
His time at Old Trafford serves as a reminder of how careers can falter under poor management.
With his MLS move, Zaha has yet another chance to showcase his talents on a new stage.
