Plus a bunch of potential new stages, skins and event info
MultiVersus is now just entering its second season of content already bringing Samurai Jack and later Beetlejuice into the platform fighter, and it appears as though we now know more about what’s likely to come in the near future.
Within the new Season 2 update, data-miners have reportedly discovered the full character models for a few unannounced MultiVersus characters that will likely please fans who grew up watching Cartoon Network.
Potential spoilers for future MultiVersus announcements ahead.
According to the leaker Ausil, who previously showed off Samurai Jack before his official reveal, MVS will likely have four more ladies joining the cast down the line (perhaps split between two characters).
The first of which shows Marceline from Adventure Time in her standard outfit with the long hair and gray tank top, and you can see the vampire queen on X/Twitter with the images still remaining up at the time of reporting.
It also appears as though she’ll also have access to her scarier bat transformation too with its own character model, so there’s a good chance that will be worked into her move set in some fashion.
Beyond the fourth main Adventure Time rep, Ausil also showcased the alleged character models / renders for the Powerpuff Girls.
Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles are all pictured together holding hands, which implies they could come as a playable trio fighter that battle together instead of being separate entries or skins of each other.
This is potentially backed up by previous data-mined audio files that also directly referenced Samurai Jack, Marceline and the Powerpuff Girls as well as other alleged characters that haven’t been announced like Aquaman and Ruby Rose.
Ausil reportedly found much more digging through the Season 2 update files than just characters as well.
They’ve shared images of a bunch of new potential stages including a Barbie house and the Steamboat Willie ship — since that is apparently public domain now though could be relegated to testing.
There’s potential costumes, event details and more out there too if you truly don’t care about spoilers for what might be coming over the next few months.
All of this should of course be taken with a heavy grain of salt, however, since absolutely none of this has been officially confirmed by the developers or publishers.
But with a Powerpuff Girls stage already in the game with Townsville, their inclusion wouldn’t exactly be very surprising at all.
We’ll likely have to wait until at least after Beetlejuice releases later this season before learning any more about future fighters coming to MultiVersus.
