Chanel Iman, once a supermodel, is now a super-bride. She’s a Victoria’s Secret Angel who recently got hitched to New England Patriots player, Davon Godchaux. The big day was on Feb. 24. This was less than a year after they announced their engagement. It was also five months after they welcomed their little girl, Capri Summer Godchaux.
Chanel shared her feelings with Vogue in an interview published on Feb. 27. “We had always dreamed of this moment,” she said. They had spent countless hours talking about marriage and their future together.
Chanel is 33 years old. She has two other daughters, Cali Clay Shephard, 5, and Cassie Snow Shephard, 4. She shares them with her ex-husband, Sterling Shephard. She revealed that she and Davon eloped on a yacht. The yacht’s name? The Parillion. They sailed the Caribbean Sea and docked in Anguilla for the reception. Why? They just couldn’t wait for the football season to end to complete their union.
The wedding was planned just as they wanted. “We planned the wedding the way we desired—doing something together that we love with our kids and our blended family,” Chanel explained. It was their ideal, dream day.
Most of their loved ones were there. But, there was one important family member who couldn’t make it. Davon Godchaux II, 7, the NFL player’s son from a previous relationship, missed the happy moment at the last minute.
