Pets are often noted for their propensity to try and copy what their owners do, but it seems that might apply to what they see on TV too.
This one cute cat for instance might be thinking Tekken 8’s King is its long lost brethren, and he’s got some really cool moves too.
In a quick clip shared on X/Twitter by fumi, presumably their cat is sitting up on what appears to be a dresser while there’s Tekken 8 gameplay of King vs. Devil Jin up on the TV.
The cat cutely begins to paw at King on the screen as he’s pulling off a combo, but then when he lands the grab, the kitty acts like its pulling them both down in perfect sync with the action.
We’ve seen dogs throw a Hadoken in Street Fighter or try and interrupt their top competitor owner’s matches, but I’m not sure we’ve witnessed a cat get involved in the battle before.
Obviously, this is nothing really major for the game itself, but we thought it was cute enough to share with you all and hope that it makes your day a bit better.
If you haven’t already, we also suggest taking a look at our big Tekken 8 review, because we certainly like the game thus far.
Has your pet ever gotten involved in your fighting game business before? Let us know in the comments. As a rabbit owner, the only things I’ve ever seen them do is rub their chin on my arcade stick and click it in a direction or chew up my cables.
