• Casey Anthony’s father takes polygraph test in A&E and Lifetime special
• Allegations about Casey’s father covering up Caylee’s death addressed
• Special premieres on Jan 4th at 9pm ET/PT
Here is what happened:
A new TV special titled “Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test” features an emotional confrontation between Casey Anthony’s father and questions about the death of his granddaughter, Caylee Anthony. This highly publicized case includes allegations that Casey’s defense team made about her father, including the claim that he helped cover up the toddler’s death. In a preview of the special, George Anthony was seen responding to questions about his knowledge of Caylee’s whereabouts, stating, “I didn’t know where she was at” when asked if he concealed her whereabouts.
After Caylee’s remains were found in 2008, the local coroner’s office ruled her death a homicide. The TV special focuses on George Anthony, who continued to appear pained during the polygraph test, confirming that he did not know where Caylee was during the times he searched for her. He denied any knowledge of her whereabouts and concealed them, reiterating, “I did not know where she was at.”
During the murder trial, allegations surfaced that Caylee drowned in the family swimming pool and that George sought to cover up the accidental death. However, George has denied these allegations and testified in court that he never molested his daughter or knew anything about his granddaughter’s drowning. The special is scheduled to air on both A&E and Lifetime, Jan. 4 at 9pm ET/PT.
