Mrs. Carolyn Lucas Lambert, age 97 of Andalusia, went to Heaven on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Born on January 29, 1928, to Lester Lane Lucas and Callie Marie (McKinley) Lucas. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Carolyn grew up in Monroeville, Alabama, where she was educated by Monroe County schools. Three weeks after her graduation she married the love of her life, Norman Harold Lambert. Together they enjoyed 74 years of marriage before Harold’s passing on October 2, 2019. They raised four children and created a legacy of love and devotion that is carried on through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Carolyn was a woman who dedicated her life to her family. She found great joy in serving those she loved, and there was nothing she cherished more than sharing a meal with her family around the dinner table. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she relied on it through every joy and hardship. She was a proud member of the First Baptist Church of Andalusia for over 60 years, where she gave much of herself in service to others.

In addition to her love for family and faith, Carolyn had a passion for baking and gardening, which brought her great satisfaction and allowed her to share her gifts with those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Callie Marie, and her brothers, David Lucas, and Billy Lucas. She is survived by her sister, Amy Lucas Bullock; her children, daughter, Norma “Nonnie” (Bill) Dorsey of Gulf Breeze, Florida; sons, Ronald Harold (Beth) Lambert of Trenton, Florida, Jeffrey Brian Lambert of Andalusia, Alabama, and Norman Harold “Hank” (Jane) Lambert, Jr. of Altadena, California; 10 grandchildren, Callie (Tim) Grimes, Deanna (Matt) Kelly, Jamie Briggs, Joanna (John) Ochs, Hank (Megan) Lambert, Lane Lambert, Jace Lambert, Elizabeth (la) Feraren, Norman James Lambert, Mary Jane Lambert; and seven great-grandchildren, Aiden Bell, Ella Grimes, Campbell Kelly, Grayson Kelly, Ronni Lambert, Fisher Ochs, and Barrett Lambert, all of whom she loved dearly.

Carolyn’s warmth, kindness, and devotion to family and faith will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025, in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of Andalusia to honor Carolyn’s life and the lasting impact she had on all who loved her. The family will receive friends in the Chapel one hour prior to services. The family will have a private interment at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.
