Yesterday was a sweet shopping day at Spar Calabar Mall where almost everyone in Calabar got the taste and feel of a real time shopping but, to some it’s still a nightmare.
Despite all the security and the huge troop that flooded into Spar, some miscreants still found their way into invoking their shady deeds which actually paid them off. But, how did they managed to go free without being caught?
During our coverage at the openings of Spar Calabar Mall, our correspondent sighted a woman with tears running down her cheek while standing next to her car. We have to pop in to know with her the problem, but her story shocked us as it spread like a plague.
What happen, our correspondent asked but the women couldn’t held but kept crying. And it was around 4pm when the incident happened. So we pressed on, and this time she opened up;
“My, my, my new car battery is gone! I don’t know how that person manage to but my car I still locked.”
Before Calabar Reporters could notice, more than two persons parking on the same side burst up with the same complain. But, how could they, we mean the thieves?
After alerting the securities, that later carried out a routine analysis, Calabar Reporters noticed more than ten cars parking inside the Mall has been dispatched of batteries. But how?
What was painful was that of a scrappy kind of car, it battery was also taken. It was implausible, a bizarre. Even at first opening, the Calabar name is dragged into the mud.
