It’s been almost five months since A.K.I. launched as the latest DLC character for Street Fighter 6, but we’re now just over a week away from the next hitting the game finally.
On top of Ed coming next week, Capcom also just revealed another nice little feature getting added new update to SF6 for players to mess around with.
The developers are putting in a new Extra Lighting feature in the game’s Photo Mode to basically use as a camera flash to take better pictures.
They put out a new dev column in Japanese discussing the addition of the tool where they noticed many master locations in World Tour mode and parts of the Battle Hub were too dark to capture very effective photos.
It’s not exactly a game-changing addition, but it does still make a difference for those who like to use the in-game camera since they released a side-by-side comparison with the flash on and off.
Plus, Capcom is also adding another small quality of life feature letting PC users change their button displays to better suit their controller and preferences.
Street Fighter 6 will be getting its first new stage as well with the Ruined Lab included for those who purchased the Year 1 Pass or Ultimate Edition of the game though we don’t yet know what it’ll cost individually.

Ed is still set to release on February 27 with everything else mentioned above in the update, and if you missed it before, check out his gameplay trailer and character guide.
And of course whoever’s on Street Fighter’s social media accounts couldn’t help but make another Eminem pun here like they did for Ed’s character select and Versus animations too.
Lose yourself in the moment.
