Capcom releases new Street Fighter 6 artwork in commemoration of the upcoming Capcom Cup X event

The Capcom Pro Tour 2023 US/Canada Midwest event concluded over this past weekend. This means that 47 out of 48 players are now qualified for Capcom Cup X with only the Last Chance Qualifier slot remaining.

To commemorate that Capcom Cup X is coming up, Capcom has released new artwork for Street Fighter 6. This is an incredible looking image that showcases Ryu facing off with Luke at the major event being held in February.

In the image, it appears that Luke has made a major whiff against Ryu. Meanwhile, Ryu has his fist in prime position for a powerful whiff punish.

We could see this sort of scene actually play out at Capcom Cup X both Ryu and Luke are among the characters that qualified players are using in the tournament. Of course, it should be noted that M80|EndingWalker is the lone Ryu qualified, though it’s still pretty likely that he’ll face off against Luke considering that Luke is the most used fighter among those that have qualified.

Regardless, this is still an iconic image as Ryu has typically been the poster boy for the Street Fighter series and Luke has become the face of Street Fighter 6. Needless to say, it perfectly encapsulates the competitive spirit that Street Fighter 6 and Capcom Cup X is looking to promote.
