Capcom promises to address reported online issues for Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics

The digital version of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was recently released and received some pretty high praise from reviewers. Those wanting a physical copy will have to wait until November 22. Additionally, the collection wasn’t originally going to be released for Microsoft consoles, but after some “technical discussions,” the collection is now slated to be released for the Xbox One sometime in 2025.

However, it turns out that some users have had difficulties matching up against opponents in an online setting within Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics. Needless to say, this is a major problem considering how most people probably got the collection in the first place to engage in online play.

According to a number of reports, the issue seems to be isolated to the PC version of the collection. One user even suggested turning on “Cross-region Matchmaking” to resolve this situation.

Capcom has recently released a statement indicating their awareness of the issue. As such, they’ve already begun investigating in search of a solution.

“We are currently confirming an issue where matching is difficult in some areas,” said Capcom about the problem. “We are investigating the cause and working to resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Evidently, it would seem that the matchmaking is only an problem for specific regions. This would explain why turning on the Cross-region Matchmaking option addresses things, though this doesn’t always result in the most stable of matches.

More than likely, Capcom will release some sort of patch or hotfix that resolves this. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the situation and report on when that happens.
