The inaugural Capcom Cup for Street Fighter 6 is finally upon us and it will be happening in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.
47 players have qualified for the event, with those players being: NASR|AngryBird, Bandits|MenaRD, RB|Gachikun, BST|Fuudo, NASR|BigBird, Mouz|EndingWalker, G8S|Kawano, Snake Eyez, Yesports|Chris Wong, GG|Xian, 00|Phenom, Falcons|Mister Crimson, SR|NuckleDu, Falcons|Valmaster, Bandits|Caba, BLG|DCQ, Gumout|NL, Nephew, DRX|Leshar, Bravery, Joe Umerogan, DualKevin, R!OT|ROF, Travis Styles, Kusanagi, Dookie, Shodown|NamikazeExTM, Goliath|JabhiM, SYG|Garnet, GE|Rainpro, Sayff, NSE|Mikex, Myrken, UMA327, Fandroid, GE|Takamura, DestroyGodz, GES|Shaka22, Shadoken, GGHalibel, MKE|NeroTheBoxer, SolVNG, Tigers|Crossover, Ren, Juninho-RAS, Samoel and DespairKing. One more slot is up for grabs and will be decided via a Last Chance Qualifier to kick off the event.
Capcom Cup is taking place across one and a half weeks, with three days dedicated to the Last Chance Qualifier, then a short break until Wednesday where we pick back up with the main event, then the finals of the Street Fighter League and finally Capcom Cup’s own finals where the winner gets a whopping $1,000,000 of the total $2,000,000 prize pool, the rest of which goes to all other participating players ranging from $300,000 to second place all the way down to $2,000 each for the tied 41st placers.
As for the Last Chance Qualifier, it is stacked through the roof with talent — some notable names participating are FLY|Punk, Ibushigin|Kakeru, Rohto|Tokido, GyoGun|Moke, BST|Daigo, Mouz|Problem X, Saishunkan|Nemo, GyoGun|Mago, Moist|JAK, Saishunkan|Higuchi, SNB|Yamaguchi, TwisMinds|OilKing, FAV|Sako, RB|Bonchan, FAV|Ryuusei, DouyuTV|Xiao Hai,DFM|John Takeuchi, Samurai, Chat|JB, RR|Mono, XSET|iDom, BLG|Vxbao, PR Balrog, GyoGun|Mizuha, Rikemansbarnet, LordVenom, CAG|Go1, Alex Myers, AZ|MOV, 00|Veggey, Joey, iG|Jiewa, LuiMan20, Stupendous, Zaferino and many more.
One player will fight it out through the rigorous bracket to make it into the finals, where they will be placed into Group H of the main event and then try and make it into the final top 16 bracket.
