Capcom Cup 9 is scheduled to begin with its Last Chance Qualifier on February 12, 2023. The final player that will qualify for the big tournament with a $300,000 prize pool will be the winner that emerges from the 256-capped bracket on February 13, 2023.

From there, eliminations featuring the 48 qualified players will take place from February 14, 2023 and last until February 16, 2023. There will be a break from the weeklong (eight days) Capcom Cup event on February 17, 2023 and February 18, 2023 with the Street Fighter League World Championships.

The final 16 players remaining in the Capcom Cup bracket will then compete against one another on February 19, 2023. Only one champion will emerge from this event.

As of right now, there are 17 players that have qualified for the Capcom Cup due to victories over the course of the Capcom Pro Tour season. Those players are Samurai (Luke), The4philzz (Falke), Mister Crimson (Dhalsim), Justakid (Juri), Momochi (Cody), Dookie (M. Bison), Brandon (Luke), MenaRD (Luke), Kawano (Kolin), Travis Styles (Balrog), SolVNG (Seth), JabhiM (Karin), RonaldinhoBR (Nash), Phenom (Luke), Takamura (Akuma), AngryBird (Ken), and NL (Luke).

The remaining Capcom Pro Tour Online events and points earned from the World Warrior Regional events will determine which players fill out the remaining 30 slots for the Capcom Cup 9. With Street Fighter 6 slated for a 2023 release window, this is very likely the final Capcom Pro Tour series centered around Street Fighter 5 specifically.
