The newly sworn in Chairman of Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, Mrs Esther Bassey has issued a note of warning with a clear promise to prosecute hoodlums and miscreants in the Local Government against planning and constituting illegal action of violating an executive order against the dissolution and revoke of revenue collection from certain bodies.
An executive order signed by the chairman reads;
The attention of the Executive Chairman, Calabar South Local Government Area Hon (Mrs) Esther Bassey has been drawn to a sponsored plan by certain persons, hoodlums and miscreants to cause to cause crime in Calabar South Local Government Area (Watt market and shopping center) arising from the revocation and dissolution of revenue agencies.
I hereby warn that sever actions and prosecution awaits any person or group of persons planning to breach the peace of the Local Government, arising from the decision of the Chairman of Calabar South Local Government Area.
