As an Appliances Buyer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our customer's home experiences. You'll source, develop, and launch private label and branded products that resonate with our target market, driving sales and profitability.

Product Strategy: Develop and execute category strategies, identifying trends and opportunities to build a balanced cohesive range and drive growth.
Sourcing and Development: Source and develop innovative products from both local and international suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (merchandising, sales, logistics, creative and marketing) to deliver on-trend, customer-centric products.
Financial Management: Manage budgets, analyse performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability.
Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring timely deliveries.
Digital Proficiency: Leverage your digital skills to analyse and interpret data to inform purchasing decisions, optimize online merchandising, and communicate effectively across various platforms.
Requirements
What you'll need to do this role
Experience: 3+ years of buying experience, preferably in home appliances, including private label product sourcing and development experience from both local and international suppliers.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation skills, a keen eye for trends, and an understanding of digital tools and platforms.
Passion: A genuine passion for home products and a customer-first mindset.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (i.e, Business, Supply Chain or Merchandising).
