Cammy White tends to be one of the more iconic characters of Capcom’s Street Fighter series. She made her debut in Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers alongside T. Hawk, Dee Jay, and Fei Long, though she’s the only one among these “new challengers” that returned for all of Street Fighter 4, Street Fighter 5, and Street Fighter 6.
Though Cammy’s most iconic appearance comes across as being particularly risqué due to how exposed she is from the backside, it’s actually said that she wears this outfit for practical purposes. More specifically, Cammy believes that the thong leotard enables her optimal speed, mobility, and flexibility during combat.
While the thong leotard is a common element of Cammy’s Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 5 costumes, there are actually some subtle differences between the two. In Street Fighter 4 (which is just the same outfit from Street Fighter 2), camouflaged paint can be observed on Cammy’s legs.
However, in Street Fighter 5, Cammy no longer utilizes camouflaged paint and instead has straps wrapped around her torso with an additional gun holster tied around her thigh. Apparently, this appearance is based on one of Cammy’s earlier designs conceived during Street Fighter 2.
Regardless, it would appear that Buttercup Cosplays opted to cosplay as Cammy White at one point. For the most part, this depiction of Cammy is mostly based on how she appears in Street Fighter 5, though it should be noted that the gun holster is missing.
Buttercup Cosplays ends of performing poses showing off her Cammy cosplay from both the front and back. Needless to say, her mannerisms seem to be befitting of Cammy.
